It is the mission of the Clerk-Treasurer’s Office to assist all who enter our office to the best of our ability and always to remember we work for the citizens and taxpayers of New Palestine. We are dedicated to providing our citizens with complete confidence in our town's integrity and financial accountability.

The office of Clerk-Treasurer is regulated by the Indiana State Board of Accounts and the Department of Local Government Finance (DLGF). It is responsible for the overall financial accounting of the town government.
As the chief financial officer of the Town, the Clerk-Treasurer and her team are responsible for a variety of financial-related services, including:
- Accounts payable
- Accounts receivable
- Annual budgets
- Annual reports
- Payroll
- Town and utility personal records
- Town Council secretary (minutes)
- Town bank accounts
- Grant administration
- Health and liability insurance
- Investments
- Open access to public records
- Public notary
- Preserving and storing town documents
